DAY 1: Deciding the LOOK

My first day working for Karen Walker started with the lady herself answering the door to me! OMG! And I didn't faint, go weak at the knees or anything haha.
She is a lovely down-to-earth kiwi gal, and was so welcoming and made me feel right at home straight away. On a side note I swear her and my good friend Hayley Gibb are long lost sisters, as they sound almost exactly identical.
Day one we assisted in getting the spring/summer 2009 collection ready so that stylist and personal friend of Karens, Heathermary could help Karen decide what from the collection would be shown on the runway. It was so interesting to see how they decide what will and what won't make it, and why. There will be a lot more looks shown on the runway than I ever thought there might be, close to forty!
The atmosphere was exciting, thrilling and chilled and come on I was in the same room as KAREN WALKER for the whole day so why wouldn't it be just another fantastic day in NEW YORK!
